Similar to a lot of things in life, this artwork isn't how I envisioned it to be when I began painting.
This layer of painting is the 4th or 5th layer of paint on this canvas. I began by using colors such as blue, dark blue, and then, I added white, green, and red consecutively.
This painting has a texture that makes it appear as if one were looking at the craters on the moon. Imagine how thrilling it would be to be actually looking at a moon with tinges of pink everyday (it would be like a party for pink lovers).
The part I enjoy the most is the touch of this artwork. Running my fingers through the serrations on the canvas makes me feel fascinated. It makes me get in touch with my body.
As a highly sensitive person (HSP), it gives me a lot of pleasure to experience the little things in life deeply. The unique texture, bursts of pink color, and the touch of the canvas surface adds depth to this artwork.
In my opinion, taking the time to reflect on things and engaging in creative reflection helps enrich my life.
How about you? Is there anything like the pink color or the cratered texture that add depth to your life and HSP journey?
Let me know your thoughts.
