I love this artwork!
It is so vibrant and flawless. It defies the need for a painting to have a shape, specific color, and form. I had so much fun working with literally whatever color I felt like using.
I remember taking the small bottles of paint and swishing my wrists in all different directions. I let my playful side come through as I painted onto the paper.
I call this a 'Color Party' because to me, it felt like a party when I was swishing-swinging my wrists. Also, if you notice, the paint layers are thick. I used a lot of paint to create this artwork. It gives a distinct texture to the paper.
I also love the way these colors come together and make me feel joy internally. It puts a smile on my face, as the colors are bright shades.
I definitely feel like the free spirit in me was nourished while I was creating 'Color Party'.
How about you?
Can you imagine yourself painting an artwork like this one?
If so, what colors would you use? What would be your unique touches that would define your playful and free-spirited side?
I look forward to knowing your thoughts.
