Research about imagination and highly sensitive people

Psychotherapist Isle Sand suggests that highly sensitive people have a unique imagination and a lively inner world. Highly sensitive people get more inputs from stimuli. These inputs can give rise to different concepts, associations, and thoughts. Dr. Elaine Aron shares that highly sensitive people can imagine possibilities. Sensitive souls can be aware of the past and future, which puts them in a place to invent solutions to human problems.

Wiggling out of problems using Imagination

If you identify as a highly sensitive person, it would be an act of self-love to count the number of times you may have utilized your imagination to wiggle out of problems.

I'm sure it would have been quite a few times. Hence, I encourage you to sit with a pen and paper to jot down your imaginative wins throughout your life. Please trust your heart to give you as many incidents as possible!

As a highly sensitive person, I utilize my imagination to find solutions to my problems.

My imagination supports me in forming an inner dialogue with my creative mind. For example, at first, I was hesitant to share my work on social platforms. I dislike social media and find it stimulating to my nervous system. However, I asked myself about my creative strengths.

I reminded myself that I was naturally talented at storytelling and helping others imagine. I began sharing stories about abstract art and highly sensitive people on a platform that made me feel the least stimulated and most comfortable. My imagination created a solution that I could embrace and enjoy.

Similarly, I truly believe that highly sensitive people can imagine creative solutions to their problems and the world's problems too. It is my personal opinion that highly sensitive people can overcome challenges by utilizing their imagination unconsciously too.

The effect of imagination on abstract artwork

In my experience, abstract art depends on one's imaginative inputs too. The artwork in this post represents the freedom offered by one's imagination. The black border represents an eye that helps us see a creative, bold, and colorful world. This world encourages freedom of expression, feeling, and sensing. The blue colors represent water, the neon colors represent expression, and the yellow color represents one's unique style of expression. The irregular shapes, proportions, and borders could represent the freedom in embracing one's individuality.

Every abstract artwork yearns to share a memory, experience, or emotion.

If you utilized your imagination to make an abstract artwork, what would it yearn to share with the world, dear highly sensitive soul?
