Processing intuitive inputs with abstract art as a highly sensitive person

Abstract artwork created to process intuitive inputs

Dr. Elaine Aron, a scientist, mentions highly sensitive people to have a certain way of processing information. Highly sensitive people reflect on situations before acting. Highly sensitive people, like me, can segregate information into finer grains of information. It could be like stacking clothes into different categories according to size, shape, or color. By which I mean that we analyse, process, and segregate information. Similarly, highly sensitive people utilize their higher awareness levels and intuition to work around information unconsciously or semi-consciously. The deep level of processing could increase intuitive perceptions or moments of clear awareness too. Of course, one can be wrong about their perceptions; however intuitive inputs could be right.

Highly sensitive people can include highly sensitive intuitives and artists too. While creating art, I believe that one tends to process their intuitive and logical inputs. As a highly sensitive person, I find that it is easier for me to process intuitive inputs while utilising texture white paste particularly. My experience with using texture white paste for abstract artworks has been extraordinary. I say that as texture white helps me differentiate between my thoughts, emotions, energy, and intuitive inputs. The distinction is clear or could also be hazy. However, I feel lighter, as if I have processed much information stored in my senses and extra-sensory organs.

It could be fun to process one’s intuitive perceptions through abstract art. It is challenging to be highly sensitive, as we could have unusual and rare problems. In such times, it is important to come back to abstract art and remind ourselves that we are allowed to play. Highly sensitive people can feel the pressure to be serious, as our inputs and perceptions can make us feel over-responsible for ourselves and the world. However, I believe that adding ten-minute abstract art-making activities daily can improve our sense of self and connect us to progressive ways of information processing.

So, my dear highly sensitive person, can I ask you, when was the last time you picked up a paintbrush and went berserk with it?

When was the last time you allowed your intuitive perceptions to flow out from your senses into your canvas/canvas sheets?

I hope my blog post acts as a reminder for you to play. Please know that you deserve it.

[Please note: If you are not used to processing your intuitive perceptions, it is best if you take your time to utilize artistic ways of processing them.]
