Art can take us on journeys that our feet cannot.
I identify as an empath and a highly sensitive person (HSP). Sometimes, I feel limited by certain circumstances. One of the challenging circumstances has been overcoming chronic health issues.
Until a few years ago, I was able to run 10 km a day. My other physical activities included lifting weights, kettlebell workouts, and doing deadlifts. Then, suddenly, I was not able to exercise. My shins and back problems entered my life, and I had to step back and rest.
It is frustrating for me to not be able to climb mountains, as I know of my potential to climb mountains (real and metaphorical). However, sometimes, nature sets limitations.
On a positive note, nature has also created art for us. I understand that there are few limitations in the world of art. One can paint what one cannot do in their life.
For example, I may not be able to climb a mountain right now, but I did paint one for myself. Here it is:

I was so glad to paint it. I had attended an art workshop, wherein, I painted this beautiful mountain. The only challenge to painting this artwork was that 16 other artists were painting around me. We were all cramped on one table. As an HSP, it was sometimes distracting and painful.
These are the times that reassure me about my vision to take one-on-one art sessions for HSPs. It is much healthier for HSP learners to learn art from HSP educators who can acknowledge the HSP trait and give personal attention to the HSP learner. Also, having only one person in the room/virtual room is like a boon.
Hence, if you identify as an HSP and are interested in learning abstract art, do book a trial session with me. To book a session, please email me at pranitarao62@gmail.com.
