Accepting transitions

I did not paint this butterfly.
I created it <3.
What I meant to say is that I did not use brushes to paint this artwork. I used paints and folded the sheet in ways that created a butterfly. I had not prepared myself for such an outcome, and it turned out to be exactly what it had to be.
I was going through a transition when I was working with this piece of art. I still am but this artwork is from a year ago. Things were more challenging back then.
I was rediscovering myself (including my body, mind, soul and life choices) at a much deeper level. It was challenging; it wasn't planned.
Transitions are challenging. It was uncomfortable and unpredictable. This artwork is a bang on representation of what I was experiencing a year ago—change, growth, and transformation.
The change from a caterpillar to a butterfly is a wonder of nature. The moment a caterpillar accepts its transformation, I assume that the transformation journey would get easier.
Similarly, I began accepting my transformation as a highly sensitive person. I still am accepting all the discoveries I am making and all the leaps of faith that I am taking to get to my full butterfly mode.
I feel more content to think of myself as a butterfly. I am changing, discovering, and accepting. It hasn't been easy. Although, I do see the beauty that the transformation is creating.
For example, my transformation created this artwork. It is a wonderful, natural, and heart-warming message from the universe for me.
I imagine the universe cheering for me now (and, I hope it did back then too), saying, 'You got this stage of your metamorphosis! You go girl!'.
:D
